King Milestones

2006

KING Architectural Products is fully operational from new custom built facility in Bolton. Building officially opened by Mayor of Caledon.

2005

WSI Sign Systems Ltd. purchases assets of KING Architectural division of KDSI. New facility built in Bolton, Ontario for former staff and equipment.

2004

KING signs major contracts with: · 7 Times Square - New York, NY (custom interior signage program including computerized directory) · New York City Center Authority (NYCHA) - New York, NY (custom interior wayfinding program ) · Grand River Hospital - Kitchener, ON (custom donor recognition solution) · University of Lethbridge - Lethbridge, AB (custom donor recognition program including signage, computerized directory & plasma systems) · Maryland Science Center, Baltimore, MD (custom Interior and exterior signage and wayfinding)

2004

KING Architectural purchases the assets of Impressive Display Ltd, a talented designer and manufacturer of Architectural signage in Ontario, Canada.

2003

Major contracts signed by KING Architectural, signage division including: · The new “Time Warner Center” building in New York, NY (custom interior and exterior signage program). · The Supreme & Family Courthouse in New York, NY (custom Interior en exterior signage including custom housing for of electronic media) · Thunder Bay Regional Hospital, ON (custom hospital donor recognition including signage, computerized directory & plasma systems)

2000

KING awarded significant architectural signage contracts totaling in excess of $ 4 million for Dulles and Philadelphia International Airports, and the World Financial Center in New York City.

1991

New York showroom opened.

1988

SmoothScroll, a solid state electronic directory is introduced for large office buildings, as a leading-edge alternative to traditional static directories.

1964

Mr. KING Sr. designs the world's first extruded aluminum sign system marketed as Channeline.

1946

Founded by Don KING Sr. the new company, KING Plastics, specializes in the manufacture of displays and signs for retailers.

1944

Company begins operations as Veterans Industries, specializing in custom fabricated displays.
